Time It!
Use the 1, 5, 10, or 30 minute buttons to start immediately. Custom timers, named timers, and routines are available below the quick controls. A running timer records its intended finish time so refreshing the page, switching tools, or waking the device does not make the countdown drift.
At zero, the selected alarm sounds ten times. If it is not stopped, it waits one minute and sounds again. The completion screen provides Stop, Restart, Add 1 minute, and Snooze 5 minutes controls.
Web limitation: keep the site open for the most dependable alarm. Browser notifications can assist when permitted, but a web page cannot guarantee an operating-system alarm after the browser has been fully closed or suspended.
Music and sounds
The Music On/Off and Customize Music controls use one shared background-music system across the suite. Your selected tracks, volume, shuffle choices, and approximate playback position are remembered. Music lowers while a timer alarm plays, then returns to its previous level.
Background music, alarms, and interface sounds use separate controls. After a full refresh, the browser may require one tap before music can resume because modern browsers restrict automatic playback.
Accessibility
Open Settings and expand Accessibility for larger text, high contrast, reduced motion, stronger focus outlines, keyboard shortcuts, written audio status, and speech-to-text where supported. These preferences apply across Polar Beacon Tools.
Speech-to-text is optional. Select the microphone beside a supported text field, speak, stop listening, review the transcription, and then insert it. Nothing is submitted automatically.
Safe nicknames and profile icons
Free users can receive a nickname made from two words in an approved library and request a new one once every seven days. Plus members can choose from the approved combinations and select one of 25 profile icons. Custom typed nicknames are not accepted.
Homepage customization
Everyone starts with a complete homepage that prioritizes quick actions. Plus members can enter Customize Homepage mode to reorder, resize, hide, or show modules; pin favorite tools; choose a layout preset; and reset to the default design.
Local and cloud saves
Guest work is stored in the current browser. Signed-in work and preferences sync across devices within each tool’s free limits. Plus raises or removes supported save limits and adds premium customization. The Account page can export or import local data and reset selected categories.
Notifications
Signed-in users can use the bell to review due trackers, scheduled Note It! items, achievements, pack releases, and important account notices. Time It! can also request a local browser notification for a finished timer. Notification availability depends on browser permission and operating-system behavior.
XP, achievements, packs, and trackers
Word It!, Calculate It!, Track It!, Draw It!, Spin It!, and Time It! use progress systems that fit each tool. XP represents long-term activity, and achievements mark specific milestones. Missing a day or answering incorrectly does not remove earned progress.
A tracker is for something that repeats. Monthly and seasonal packs keep the same ID and saved progress when their public release status changes.
Free and Plus
The free plan keeps the core tools useful, including quick timers, shared music, accessibility options, a safe random nickname, and account sync within free limits. Plus adds homepage and profile customization, expanded saves, and premium content where listed.
